IN-STORE

 

REWARDS

Every dollar spent earns points for in-store credits.  No limits or exclusions - just a simple program that rewards you for shopping with us!

 

LAYAWAYS

In-Stock bicycles may be placed in layaway with a minimum deposit of 20%.  Special order bicycles placed into layaway will require a 50% non-refundable deposit.  We will gladly store your new bicycle for a period of up to 90 days.  If you decide that you no longer want to purchase your bike (in-stock only), you may receive a full refund if it's within 30 days of placing it in layaway.  After 30 days, you will receive a store credit. If the item is still in layaway after 90 days and is not paid in full, you will have an additional 30 days to pay the balance and pick up the item, or forfeit all payments unless special arrangements are made with an associate.

 

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift cards and certificates are not returnable or refundable and should be treated as if they were cash. There is no means of tracking a lost gift card.

 

PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE

We will match any local competitor's price, within a 30-mile radius, on in-stock bicycles. If bicycle is not in-stock at competitor, price match guarantee will not be honored. 
Price must be verifiable and must be on identical unit. Special order items do not apply to any of these rules.
Price match guarantee not valid with online auction resellers, third-party resellers, or mail-order stores. 

 

SPECIAL ORDERS

Special order items are not refundable or returnable. Deposits are also non-refundable. This rule applies to any item whether it be a bicycle, accessory, repair part, or apparel.

 

TRADE-IN PROGRAM 

Our trade-in program allows you to trade in a bike for store credit. Limit of 1 trade-in bike per new bike purchase.  If you have additional bikes for trade, the credit will be given on a gift card to be used for your next purchase. Bike shop bicycles are accepted.  Department or big-box store bicycles are not. 

 

RETURNS
New bicycles are returnable for 14 days with original receipt*. They must be unridden and in original and sellable condition. Apparel and Accessories are returnable for 30 days with original receipt and must be in new and sellable condition* Used products are not returnable. Items that have been purchased using one of our financing programs will not be returnable, refundable, or exchangeable once the contract has been entered with the financing company. If no receipt is present at time of return, a store credit will be issued.

*A restock fee of 15% may apply to bicycle and accessory returns. 

*For items with manufacturer warranties or policies that extend beyond our in-store policies, we typically will offer a store credit for the duration of their coverage.

Modified Products:
If a product, it's packaging, or tags have been modified, installed, or has had something installed on it, it is not returnable. Shoes that have cleats mounted to them are not returnable. Car racks are not returnable unless they're still in their original sealed package.

Refunds:
Credit card refunds will be credited back to the original card. Cash will be refunded when original payment was made with cash. In certain circumstances, when not enough cash is on hand, a company check will be issued upon the next business day.   In-store credits are valid for 1-year after the issue date.

There are no refunds for items accompanied by only a gift receipt.  Store credit will be issued (or exchanges) for gift receipt returns.

Items that have been placed on sale since original purchase and are not accompanied by an original receipt will be issued a store credit at the sale price.

(We ultimately reserve the right to refuse any return if we feel that any policies or ethics have been compromised. See store manager if any problem arrises.)

 

DEMO SADDLE PROGRAM

We loan high-end saddles for a period of 2 weeks.  To check a demo saddle out, a valid Ohio driver's license and a valid major credit card are required.  Saddles must be returned by the due date set forth by sales associate or customer will be charged $125 to replace saddle.

RETURNS

If there’s a problem with something you purchased from us, you can either bring it to our store or ship it back. Ship returns via Ground UPS or insured US Mail (we do not accept CODs). We will refund shipping costs on damaged or incorrect merchandise. Merchandise returned that appears used will be returned to purchaser at their expense as used products are not refundable. (Labor fees are not refundable, i.e., custom built wheels.)

BACKORDERS

Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on original order.

 

PRODUCTS AND PRICING

Most products displayed on our website are also available in our store, but please do not assume that just because it is on the site that it is in stock.  Occasionally, prices displayed on website may also differ from store advertised prices.  Pricing errors may occur and we will do our best to correct it as soon as possible.  We reserve the right to correct any inaccuracy even if you have placed an order; we also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your payment card charged. If your card has already been charged and your order is canceled, we will promptly issue an adjustment to your card account. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

 

 

LABOR / SERVICE

 

LIFETIME FREE ADJUSTMENTS

We offer complimentary lifetime free adjustments on all new bicycles.  This means we will adjust the brakes and/or gears (derailleurs) free of charge for as long as you own the bike.  Lifetime free adjustments covers normal operational use - not damage from crashes or misuse.  It also does not cover replacement of parts or bleeding of hydraulic brakes.

 

BICYCLE REPAIRS

We guarantee our repair work for a period of 30 days after the bike has been picked up. This policy insures that the work was performed correctly or we will fix it again for free. This does not cover abuse or normal wear and tear from riding. Installed parts are not refundable or returnable.

Custom built wheels are covered by our "One Free True" policy which means that we will true any wheel that we've custom built for free within a period of 180 days.

Bicycle repairs are usually performed either on the spot or within a few days. We always call after the work is completed to insure a timely pickup. Bicycles left over 30 days will incur a storage fee of $7 per week. Bicycles left over 60 days from completion date will be either donated or disposed of.  Signing off on our repair work ticket means you are acknowledging our policy that we are "not responsible for goods left after 30 days," as written at the bottom.

 

BODY SCANNING BIKE FITTING

Body Scanning bicycle fitting is a complementary service we provide for new road bicycle purchases. For bicycles not purchased here, we charge a fee for the scan and bike setup. If you decide to purchase a new road bicycle at Solon Bicycle within 30 days of the body scan, we will deduct your fitting fee from the bike purchase.

 

WARRANTY

Warranties are specific to each manufacturer offering them.  In most cases, bicycle frames (not forks) are covered by a lifetime limited warranty.  Parts are typically warrantied for 1-3 years depending on the manufacturer and quality level.  Wear items such as tires, grips, bearing, cables, and seat fabrics are usually not covered by a warranty.  Remember that just because something may break, doesn't necessarily mean that it is or will be a warranty.  Many of today's lightweight parts/frames have a limited fatigue life and can only withstand a certain amount of abuse or heavy riding.  Solon Bicycle will attempt to process any and all warranties for items purchased through us only.  There is usually a labor charge involved with any parts/frames being swapped by us since manufacturers rarely give a labor credit.  Please speak with an associate if you have questions or concerns about any warranty.

 

INFORMATION SECURITY

 

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.
